arcade rides are a scream!

Today I took Daesha and her cousin Shamae to the video arcade. Ted and I went on this ride a while ago and I knew Daesha would love it! The girls rode it 3 times, they got to choose which ride so they picked the race car, roller-coaster,and a snow sled. I tried putting the video of them on this blog but somehow put it on google. So click on {girls ride} to see the video. Shamae said it was the best day of her entire life!

"I DON'T NEED NAPS"

This was a day I have been dreading for a long time, and it has finally come... Daesha has been fighting me more and more each day I tell her it is time for naps. She cries and sometimes screams because she isn't tired and does not want to take a nap. So I have stopped fighting and let her stay up. But still mommy is the winner.. here are some pictures I have taken the last couple of days: since she doesn't need naps.

Fall Fun!

I love the Fall season. But unfortunatly it is also hunting season...Ted works all week and then goes up in the mountains on the weekends. It's ok. I joke about being a hunters widow from August to November. Sometimes I get lucky and Ted will stay home for a weekend. Two weeks ago we hiked up to the Timpanogos Cave. Daesha hates to walk (I am beginning to think it might be because her feet turn in so much-what do you think Wade?)She did walk most of the way, only because we kept telling her she needed to go only alittle bit more. Ted had the back pack to carry Daesha and I carried Keegan in my Moby Wrap, which I totally LOVE! It took us about 1 hour to get to the top and once we got there an old high school teacher of mine was there, Jay Allen. He even recognized me after all these years.
I have lots of fun Fall activities to do this next month-can't wait!

Love lives in happy hearts

Who celebrates the most important day of two lives coming together and most importantly making it 11 years with out a hitch?! Well I'll tell you how we celebrated our big day. Ted spent the day working hard. I sent him a text that said "Happy Anniversary. I love you" He called back and said "you too, I love you too". I was awakened by Keegan at 6:30. He was hungry.(he has been sleeping til 8 so I was alittle bothered I had to get up early)Then after feeding him I went back to my bed. A few minutes later Daesha come crawling in bed with me. My alarm went off at 8. And the day has officially started... Daesha got dressed herself and went to brush her teeth. I took the time while she was in the bathroom to brush her hair not really thinking about the toothpaste in her mouth as she screamed her usual protests toothpaste poured out all down her chin and on her shirt. New outfit. Went to change Keegans diaper and he peed all over his bed!! I am not kidding! It went all over the bumper the sheets and the comforter. And of course all over Keegan too. New outfit. Then those who understand the disassemble of crib bedding taking at least FOREVER! I quickly threw the bedding in the laundry. Started to pull out the drive to take Daesha to school and I realized I needed to go back inside. Started my cycle! After taking Daesha to school I came home put the bedding in the dryer, fed Keegan, watched a maniac on the price is right, at 10:45 I went to pick up my niece from kindergarten. Her Dad was parked 2 cars ahead of me. He lost track of what day it was. Then I went to pick up Daesha and pay for another month of Karate. I wasn't about to go home and make lunch so we stopped at McDonald's. After my niece left I was able to take a quick nap and then find a sitter so that Ted and I could go to a movie. When we got to the theater there wasn't much to choose from that started before 9 so we went to see Superbad which WAS superbad. We left that movie and walked down the hall and watched Balls of Fury. It wasn't that great either. Then we came home and fell into bed and we were both asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. My every day life... It's perfect. I love everything about it even if I have days like these. My husband is such a good man. He is a hard worker and such a loving Dad. I know it's sappy but he is my best friend. He is more than I could ever deserve. I Love You Pistol Pete! Now pass the salsa.

ted takes some great pictures

Broke Back Mountain???

Ted is going to kill me for the title but I just couldn't resist. I love you Ted! Every September Ted goes on a back packing trip with his high school friend Loren and his brothers. They pack back into the deep Uinta mountains, or so they thought. This trip they got out a GPS after hiking to their favorite destination and saw they were only 60 miles from Salt Lake City. They really rough it though, in the past Ted has just taken a tarp and basically slept under that. But this year he took a tent. They camp near a lake and fish for dinner. Of course they do take some food just incase the fish aren't bitting. Ted had a small accident with the fish hook... he had to cut the hook and pull it through his thumb. He took a picture because he was pretty proud. They also had a very wet day when it rained all day. Ted said he just sat under a tree and every once in awhile he'd throw a rock up to make all the water fall from the branches. Then he could sit there for awhile longer. When he got too cold he made a huge fire for everyone to get warm. I guess the tents are only used for sleep; and not a reasonable place to stay out of the rain. I am glad that Ted has the time to get away from work and go to the mountains. It is his most favorite place to be. If we lived in the old west I am sure we'd be mountain dwellers.

HUMP DAY!

Saturday Keegan turned 3 months. It is his hump day! Because in just 3 short months he will be ours legally and eternally.
He is such a good boy we love him so much. Here are some fun facts about Keegan.
*all his toes are the same size. We call them "Flintstone Feet". He must have gotten that from Val!
*sleeps all night from 10 to 8. Thanks to baby cereal before bed.
*100% mama's boy!
*recently has decided his Dad isn't so bad.
*when he cries he spits all over and blows bubbles. His shirt will be soaked in seconds.
*only cries when he is hungry so maybe he's salivating???
*loves his swing.
*falls asleep when you rub his head.(found this out after we shaved his head.)
*When I go to get him each morning he never cries because he is sucking his THUMB! @#&*!!!
Happy Late Hump Day Keegan!

freeks-geeks-geezers-sleezers..ROCK ON!

pictures I took of the concert. I didn't even get one of Foreigner. The last one is of the famous "one armed drummer"
Flash back and watch Def Leppard here!
We had a great time at the Def Leppard concert! We rarely go to concerts cause they cost so much money. But I am reminded at how much fun they are. Foreigner opened up the show and had the crowd going crazy with the song, Juke Box Hero (my personal favorite) then after them was Styx. And last was Def Leppard. I love watching all the weird people - it's almost as fun as the actual concert. Girls kept putting panty's and bra's on the stage. GROSS! Those rock stars are like 80 years old. EW!
