Parade of Homes

Every year as the time comes around to buy parade of homes tickets I think to myself. I want to go THIS year. But that year comes and goes and think it's ok I will go NEXT year. NEXT year ended up being THIS year! I didn't buy tickets so I only got to see 2 houses. Thanks to my sister for calling me and inviting me and the kids to come. Some of the houses decorate a room inspired by Make-A-Wish recipients. So I am sure that one of best houses to see on the tour was the one that had a room dedicated to my niece Tiffany. It was full of some pictures of Tiffany and many of her favorite things. On the bed was some popcorn which she loved. A stuffed animal that looks just like their family dog Toby. And of course lady bugs and butterflies were found throughout the room.

On the nightstand was a paper that told Tiffany's story and her wish that Make-A-Wish Foundation granted.

One of Tiffs favorite songs is Dream Big by Ryan Shupe. Tiffany loved it when her cousin Emily sang and played it on her guitar.

Next on our tour was the Pixar's UP house. It was a really fun house. Everything was so much like the movie, right up to the weather vane, and exterior wiring of the front doorbell, and front door. Here we are infront. Scott, Brittany, Alison, and me and the kids. Keegan is hiding behind me.

This cute man loved his role as Carl a bit too much. He was so happy to take pictures and hug the kids.

O My gosh! This room looked just like the movie. With the old record player. And look! The money jar labeled PARADISE FALLS. The whole time we were there we couldn't remember the little boy scouts name. Do you remember it?

I loved the "My Adventures Book" on the table.

The kitchen was so cute! like a doll house. But I would not want a retro kitchen like this. One of the contractors was sitting at the kitchen table. We talked a bit with him and learned that the retro appliances are twice as much as top of the line conventional appliances. I just thought that was dumb.

The nursery. Go on say it................... OOOOAAAAHHHHH. We all did.

Family pictures. It was some ladies fault that the picture is blurry. She was not willing to wait a second while I took a picture she kept nudging forward! sheesh

All the light switches were the old fashion 2 button switches. Daesha thought they were cool. And yes you bet your dollar I took this picture after the pushy woman started nudging me. I even took a little extra more time on this one by giving Daesha a few posing pointers. She lost her patience and finally pushed by.

After you exit the back of the house all the kids got to take a balloon home. Keegan kept saying, "I want to buy this house"

Incase you are wondering total square footage is 2,800 the asking price of this house is 450,000. And the builders will repaint the exterior at no extra cost if you so wish. I tried hard not to drop my jaw at the contractor. Who the heck would buy this????? Keegan would.

Before we left we went to the garage. Of course a purple car.
