A new park opened up a few weeks ago. We have been there 3 times since it opened. Neptune Park is named for its featured play structure, the Neptune XXL, which stands 30 feet high, the tallest of its kind in the western hemisphere. The city made a deliberate attempt to make the park enjoyable for all ages. Which is exactly what you see there. Parents climbing the Neptune XXL, adults spinning children on the spin equipment then making them get off and try to walk. We watched a Dad spin his child for a really long time and really fast that the boy couldn't hold on anymore and he did a superman right off the spinner! Don't worry the boy was ok and laughed while getting wood chips out of his shirt and shorts.
Daesha at the top. Ted is sitting right below her.
Ted helped Daesha and her friend Syney on this swing that whipped you up and down super high. It seemed so scary. Every time they got whipped up I thought they would loose their grip!! :S
This is one of the spinners. A fathers favorite at the park. You could hear Dad's saying "Do it again. I won't spin you too hard" The poor children should have never listened to their Dads. Everyone of them ended up purposely spinning it too hard and making the kids scream in horror!!!
Another spinner....
Ted wasn't satisfied with the speed he had to maintain while Daesha was on it with him. So he made her get off so he could go super fast! This made me a little motion sick watching him. :(
