Wishing for warmer weather...

This is my first blog. Hopefully I can keep up with it and also keep it interesting enough to read. We got a big storm this morning. I'm just sitting in my warm house; glad I don't have to venture out today. Hopefully these pictures will be the last memory of this winter. Im so ready for spring!!
Things are going good at our house. If you hadn't heard we have recently put our adoption papers in again. It's only been a couple weeks. We haven't heard anything yet. We went with a different agency than the one we went through with Daesha. But our caseworker is the same lady we had before. We just followed her to another agency. Daesha tells people that "Diana" is going to bring us a baby. So we are all really excited for the next one to come to our family. Daesha and I have joined a transracial play group. We meet every Wednesday at McDonalds. I am still having mixed feelings about this group. It's been great talking with other moms and Daesha loves to play with the kids. But last week I told her we were going to McDonalds to play with her friends and she said, "with my black friends?!". I was a little surprised. I know that she realizes she is different and that is good. She is pretty confident with herself (right now). I started thinking what if she seperates her black friends from her white friends what if she decides she can only have friends from one or the other??? I know I'm being stupid she's only 3. But I started to think that the group wasn't such a good idea. I don't want to segregate any of her friends. Am I making any sense at all? We don't need to be eating at McDonalds every week anyway. Maybe I should find some other play group that has biracial families. I dunno.

Ted is still working hard for the drilling company. He has had several guys angry with his changes in the safety program. Some have said they are going to quit. But Ted is not backing off. He is determined to make this company better. The owner is on Ted's side and is also hoping he can turn this around for the company. But man Ted has not been making any friends lately.
