Unlikely Pet

Daesha caught this poor defenceless butterfly. It couldn't fly so Daesha kept it in an open jar for several days. I was surprised that it even lasted 1 day let alone 5! Everyday Daesha would get one of my cotton face pads I use to remove my eye makeup and soak it in sugar water. The butterfly would crawl right up on Daesha's fingers and to her palm where she held the sugar water. Then we would watch its long tongue sip up the water. I wonder if maybe a butterfly could be trained but it was more of a matter of  survival, poor butterfly.
