Farewell...

Before anyone worries. Everyone is fine. But my little fast car is not. Ted was driving home from work on I-15 and a SUV decided to change lanes right in front of Ted. There wasn't quite enough room and Ted hit the SUV's rear tire going somewhere between 65 and 70 mph. Both vehicles were shot out and Ted went off the road. The other vehicle hit another car. The passenger of that vehicle was taken in an ambulance. Ted got a ticket for unsafe lane travel. When Ted called me to come pick him up he had no idea the car was coming over. Ted got a lot of bumps, the worse being his head where he hit the top of the door frame. And he also ripped off the lid to the middle consile. (sp) The airbags never deployed. I am just so glad he always wears his seatbelt and is ok. It could have been much worse. So as of right now the Jetta is at the car hospital and it's not looking so good. I am sure we get some compensation from the insurance if we loose the car. But dang it! We wont get much. It was paid off!

Bow Hunt 2008

Me and my BFF :-)Kim... check out our new trailer behind us! Isn't is "groovy".

Kids getting ready for the candy hunt.

Ok who gave Daesha all that candy?? Tyler did you help Daesha?

A view of our modern day coral of wagons. I believe the people count this year was 68.

Daesha with her new wild animal. Every year we let the kids have a little hunt of their own. We have a wild animal hunt for the kids! Each kid brings an animal for the moms to hide. Daesha has always loved it. But in such a big group there are sometimes a few who are NOT happy with their animal.

Daesha playing in Keegans playpin.

This weekend was the opening weekend for the deer bow hunt. Ted came home last week and said he'd found a trailer. We went for a ride to take a look at it and ended up driving it home that night. It's an old trailer and needed a little TLC. Ted got it for a steal. It's not a toy hauler like we were wanting but it does have a hitch on the back so we can pull the wheeler trailer too. Daesha was chanting on the way home, "We have a trailer, we have a trailer" She also felt that we should name it. She came up with KOOLAID. Which is very appropriate considering the many red and orange colors inside and out. I didn't take too many pictures this year. It was alot colder than it has been in the years past, so I stayed in the trailer alot. I rarely saw Daesha the entire weekend. She stayed outside all day playing with her cousins and friends. The men didn't get a single deer (because they are too picky and only go for the big boys) But they say that the deer were plenty and a few of them got some shots off. Daesha and I were video taping us dancing in the trailer. Sorry I will not be putting my no makeup, dirty hair, and sweats moves on here. But I cant help putting Daesha on, she has some moves! Keegan is getting in on the fun too.
This video is entitled so you think you can dance...

Breaking Dawn Breakdown

The day has finally come for those of us who love the Twilight book series! Last night I went with some family and friends to the midnight release party at Barnes and Noble. They had fun activities like, a costume contest, bad bridesmaid fashion show, ultimate trivia tournaments, face painting and body art, Alice's fortune telling, and find Bella'a engagement ring (which was hidden somewhere in the store), raffles and prizes given away every half hour. And a wall covered in paper so that you could send a message to the author, Stephanie. It sounded like alot of fun but there were several THOUSAND people there; so getting in line to do any of the activities was impossible! My neice and I did get to do some trivia. But the most entertaining part of the evening was seeing all the great shirts and costumes. Some really got into the whole thing. Once it was 11:30 everyone was escorted outside, if you weren't already. At 12 several people were let in to buy their books. Everyone had a wrist band that had a letter. Each letter had 40 to 50 people. We were letter "M". The line was moving pretty slow. We soon realized we would be in this line till 8 a.m. Then a car drove by with a bunch of girls waving their new books and cheering. One girl yelled to us "Go to Deseret Book, there is no line!" So half of or group waited in the Barnes and Noble line while the rest of us rushed a block away to Deseret Book. We waited in a line for about 20 minutes and now we are very happy fans.
Our little group made some great shirts. Here is what they said.
- IF I CANT HAVE EDWARD I'LL BE JACOBS REBOUND GIRL.
- EDWARD BELONGS WITH BELLA. JACOB BELONGS WITH ME!
- I KISSED A WEREWOLF AND I LIKED IT, I HOPE MY VAMPIRE DONT MIND IT.
- Two of us had EDWARD and JACOB written all over the shirt.

This is the best shirt I saw. When I asked the girl to take her picure I said, "I am sorry but could I get a picture of your cute shirt?" she said, "Sure. Dont worry, your not the first person to ask"

The line at 10:30 pm. Barnes and Noble isn't even visible in the picture. It was so far away from where we were in line.

My neices friend and a guy that we thought was pretty cool looking. But soon found that he was a total creep and loving all the pictures he got to take with girls.

This is me and a girl we met in line. She was all alone (brave girl) and super nice. We thought it was cool that she really looked like one of the indian charactors in the book, with the scar. She was full Navaho. Have fun reading your book Shawlee!
