Finally hot sunny weather! I love it!!!! And we have had an eventful week. I feel like summer is well on its way now. Our calendar was full this week with lots of fun things. Our town of Lehi held their yearly celebration. We have gone to the towns celebration for many years because this is where Ted grew up. This year we went to the town museum and the Cowboy Poetry night, and all 3 parades. The horse parade, the children's minature float parade, and the Grand parade. We also took the kids to the rodeo this year. I didn't take any pictures at the rodeo because I forgot my camera. GASP! But every rodeo is the same. I enjoy going to them but I'm not a die-hard fan. Sitting on wooden bleechers and having someones kid kick my back half a zillion times while good'ol Cecile the clown is sayin' the same lines he did 15 years ago gets kinda old. This year some motocross guys performed. Keegan was in heaven. He loved those motorcycles. I asked him the next day what was at the rodeo and he said, "Motorcycles!"
Daesha had to wear this big hat all week. I didn't want the sun to damage her skin were she had her stitches still in.
Another day.. another parade.
People in the parade throw candy and hand out popsicles and give really cool stuff to advertise their business. Keegan loved this foam hat!
One from a bank... "Im a super saver hero"
My Nephew playing the quad drums
The museum we went to had lots of old western memorabilia from our town. I really enjoyed checking it all out.
Old bank vault that was robbed back in the 1800's here in Lehi.
Western native american exhibit. The kids grinding dried corn with rocks.
Locked in the old jail cell. The metal really made a creaky sound and bangs loud when you shut it.
I thought these real wanted posters were so cool. One guy was only worth 50 dollars if found. He must not be so bad.
Keegan loved the prehistoric exhibit.
Daesha's impression of a pioneer. I asked her why she acted sad and she said because she was tired of walking across the dessert.
Keegans impression of a bank robber! I'd give him my money!
I think we will go back again soon and take more pictures. I guess I was too interested in looking at everything I didn't think to get out the camera.

History of Lehi City....
Lehi in 1950
Lehi 2010.
Settled by mormon pioneers in 1850. Utah's 6th oldest oldest town. Lehi maintains it's old charm and has companies like Broadbents (1882), Lehi Roller Mills (1905- appeared in the movie Footloose), Lehi Free Press (1932), Hutch's (1946), Porters Place (1971), and the Colonial Manor (1913) are still productive and have kept their doors open for years.
Some of my favorite spots that are here in Lehi are...
(captions below photo)
Old steel bridge. When Ted was a kid he'd jump of the top into the river below. Look close and you can see a couple boys sunbathing on the top.

I absolutly love this house! I had the honor of meeting the owner and got a tour of the entire house. He is the sweetest old man. The entire time I was in awe and he kept telling me he would love to have a youngster like me buy this house, who appreciates the history and value of this rare treasure.
Don't laugh. This holds a special place in my heart. It is were Ted was working when we were dating and newlyweds.
