Cool Change

Every once in awhile we get to see some of our old friends in PG. The Porters was one of our favorite peoples' there. Ted and I used to watch their kids. It's amazing how fast their kids grew in just the 8 years we have known them. One in particular became my kids favorite babysitter. Lisa would come and watch my kids even after we moved away and living in Saratoga Springs. Lisa is now living in Herriman as a nanny. She still comes by to visit and last week when she came by she invited us to go boating. Of course we were more than excited to go and see the Porters again. We joined Valerie (mom), Luke, Lisa, Jason and his wife and little baby girl and also 2 of Lisa's friends. Ted and I had so much fun. The weather was slightly overcast when we left at 10. Once we got out on Utah Lake I decided I was not going in the water. The water was probably 50 degrees, and I still had a sweater on. By noon the sun was shining and it got very hot. But unfortunately the water didn't warm up as much as I would have liked. Keegan got tired around 1 and started asking to go home. His favorite spot was at the back so he could see all the action. We ended up leaving about 2 oclock because Keegan was really needing a nap and he didn't want to fall asleep on the boat. He did fall asleep in the car on the way home. Daesha did not want to leave the lake. She enjoyed it very much.

TUBE WARS! Lisa, Luke, and their 2 friends. Brother and sister were ruthless! They were very entertaining to watch. Even the other 2 on the tubes with them just rode it out and watched them have their little war.

Ted diving in to join the tube war. Ted felt he had to get Luke off once. And are we surprised that the tube Ted was on got a big hole in it shortly after he got on. He says there is no proof he did it. That it already had a hole. He may have made it bigger is all!

Ted on a wave board? Just a board that looks like a snowboard but doesn't have any foot straps.

Now it was Daesha's turn to go on the tube with her Dad. She had a ton of fun and would have stayed out all day long if her hands didn't get tired holding on. At first we went very slow. But once she started to stand up and mess around we realized we weren't going fast enough! Faster was of course Daesha's idea of fun!!! As we slowed down so that we could pull them in somehow they were both too far to the front of the tube and both Ted and Daesha went in the cold water head first! Daesha came up laughing. Too bad I didn't have a picture of that.

Keegans favorite spot. He didn't want to get on the tube. But he loved crawling out on the back deck and put his feet in the water when we stopped to change tube riders or skiers.

Daesha warming up against Lisa. It was a bit chilly!

So Luke was wearing girl sunglasses and a neon green shirt. I happened to be wearing the same color shirt (only a lot more faded, and had hearts on it) over my swimsuit. And just because Ted loves to tease and provoke, he had me take off my shirt and show everyone just how "sexy" he was. The sight alone was enough to have everyone rolling in laughter. But once he added the sweet lisp and hand motions we couldn't catch our breathe we were laughing so hard. Ted left the shirt on for awhile and did stuff that would have us laughing again. My favorite was when he threw out the rope!!! It was a classic girl throw! And then he leaned over the boat and threw the rope out little by little while making grunts like he was trying his hardest!!!
