"Don't Ask For A Light Load, But Rather Ask For A Strong Back"

An old proverb we are taking literal.

Ted was able to leave the hospital after 5 days. The Dr requested that he be transported to a facility were he could continue being monitored on his IV pain meds and start on physical therapy. Since we don't have insurance and finding space available would be difficult. So we thought we were lucky to get a room at a facility in Provo. But once we got there we realized that the best option for him was to just go home. I won't go into a ton of detail but this particular place felt very dirty and the smell was awful. It seriously smelled like messed diapers. Anyway, we were out of there after sitting in the room for 45 minutes and nobody came to check him in. On Tuesday Ted went to his back Doctor. He did another spinal injection only this time the Dr wanted to do the injection directly into the nerve. Ted sent me a text (I was in the waiting room) after the injection he said it was really painful! And that he didn't feel any better. After 20 minutes the Dr came back to see if Ted was any better. He wasn't. So the Dr wanted to do another injection ! Ted told the Dr he didn't want to do it again but the Dr talked him into it. So long story short it didn't seem to help at all. Infact Ted has been complaining of a headache and stomach ache since. He is now walking around with out the walker but I think it's not because he is feeling better I think it's because he is just sick of his back hurting and is going through a denial stage. Ted goes back on Tuesday to see if there is any change. And what to do next. He doesn't want to do surgery but how long do you give it before you should do the surgery? Ted can't work at all. His boss is willing to let him work in the office were he won't be doing anymore work lifting out in the shop. But right now sitting for long periods of time is too painful. So who knows what will happen.

First day in the hospital... 3 hours in the ER and finally out for the count.

Ted's Mom brought him this huge teddy bear. The kids love it!
Day 3 in the hospital. All of us hanging with Ted and watching the TV show Wipeout.

Keegan wanted to wear Ted's hospital socks

While Ted was in the shower the kids had fun playing on the "monkey bar"

We spent alot of time in the hospital. The kids and I needed some other things to do besides watch TV and listen to periodic snoring from Ted.

The kids love playing with these bubbles. I swear they must be toxic. Don't even try to inhale while this stuff is close to your mouth. You will choke and gasp for air the minute you do.

Once Daesha had blown up a few and Keegan figured out they stick to the wall we started putting them on Teds head while he was in a drug induced slumber.

The Dr came in after I took this picture. Ted woke up as soon as he heard the Dr laugh. We all laughed when at first Ted thought he was imagining the colored shapes around his head. And then when he tried to get them off he couldn't because his depth perception was off from the drugs.
